We are pleased to announce a call for applications to the Bioengineering Cardiovascular Training Grant (BCTG).  We have openings for:

  1. A position funded by our NIH training grant. Only U.S. citizens, non-citizen U.S. nationals or those lawfully admitted for permanent residence are eligible for this position.
  2. A position funded by the Department of Bioengineering. International students may apply for this position.

Appointments to these positions will start in June 2017. Normally an appointment is for two years.

The BCTG provides an opportunity for graduate students interested in cardiovascular science and engineering to train under the guidance of excellent mentors. This training will simultaneously enrich the trainee’s research and strengthen the future of cardiovascular-related research and technology development in the United States.

Graduate students will be selected for support from departments that participate in the program at the University of Washington, after trainees have been accepted into the laboratory of a BCTG faculty member and have been supported by the faculty mentor for at least 1 quarter. Applications will also be accepted for students in laboratories of faculty members not currently in the BCTG program, providing these faculty apply to become BCTG faculty.

Additional information and instructions on how to apply are on our website. The deadline for applying is Friday, April 14 2017 at 5:00 pm.
