Schwenn assumed the role of former Director of Academic Services Kelli Jayn Nichols, who retired in June. Having served in her role since 1999, Nichols oversaw the development of UW Bioengineering’s undergraduate program, and its growth to become one of top biomedical engineering undergraduate programs in the nation. “I’m grateful for Kelli Jayn’s years of hard work and dedication in service to the program,” Schwenn says. “I look forward to joining department leaders, faculty and staff in navigating the challenges of growth, engagement and transition that face us.”
