The Azadeh Yazdan-Shahmorad lab has an excellent postdoctoral fellow opportunity
The laboratory of Dr. Azadeh Yazdan-Shahmorad at the University of Washington in Seattle is recruiting an innovative and highly motivated individual with a PhD in Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Neuroscience or a related field. Candidates with experience in electrophysiology, animal behavior and programming are preferred. The long-term goal of the laboratory is to use novel neural technologies to develop stimulation-based therapies to help restore function and mobility in people with neurological disorders such as stroke. The successful candidate will use optogenetics, electrophysiology and behavior to study stroke rehabilitation in non-human primates.
Dr. Yazdan-Shahmorad joins University of Washington fall of 2017 as the Washington Research Foundation Innovation Assistant Professor of Neuroengineering in the Departments of Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering. Her lab will be a part of Washington National Primate Center, Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering and University of Washington Institute of Neuroengineering. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group including engineers, computer scientists, mathematicians and clinicians.
