Closed-loop brain computer interfaces to create targeted neural plasticity and artificial recurrent connections.
Developing enhanced technology for bidirectional brain-computer interfaces
Neural interactions between brain and spinal cord
We are investigating the functional organization of the motor system controlling limb movements in non-human primates. This involves electrophysiological recordings in brain and spinal cord, brain-computer interfaces and neural network modeling. We have developed an autonomous bidirectional brain-computer interface that implements closed-loop activity-dependent stimulation during free behavior.
