To protect the health of our community and the efforts of our Health Care Workers during COVID-19, the UW has moved to remote instruction for the entire spring quarter. We thank all of our health care workers, as well as researchers in the scientific community, for their incredible hard work combating the virus during this difficult time.

All of our UW Bioengineering students have taken on this challenging new learning environment with positivity, creativity, and have continued to invent the future of medicine. Please join us as we celebrate the Class of 2020’s achievements in health research and design innovation at our annual Bioengineering Capstone Symposium. The year’s event will be held virtually, and will feature live online presentations and opportunities to engage with student presenters. We are excited that this platform will allow our remote UW partners in the WWAMI region and beyond to attend!

This virtual event will showcase capstone design projects from senior undergraduates and Master of Applied Bioengineering students. Projects represent a wide variety of exciting bioengineering applications, including:

  • Clinical Design Solutions
  • COVID-19 Response
  • Point-of-Care Diagnostics
  • Drug Delivery
  • Early Cancer Detection
  • Cell and Tissue Engineering
  • Neural Engineering
  • Imaging Systems

Join UW Bioengineering as we celebrate student accomplishments in research and design solutions for life and health made by the Class of 2020.

Presentations will have closed captioning. To request disability accommodations, contact the Disability Services Office at least 10 days in advance at 206-543-6450 (voice), 206-543-6452 (TTY), 206-685-7264 (fax) or dso@uw.edu.
